ESPN Cleveland Portfolio

During my internship at ESPN Cleveland, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports marketing, event activation, and content production. I helped create marketing materials for various events and worked on-site at events such as High School Hysteria, Buckeye Gameday, and Dawg Pound Drive.

Beyond event marketing, I also shadowed the producer of the radio show, contributing to show content on topics ranging from sports and pop culture to in-depth breakdowns of specific foods. Additionally, I collaborated with the other interns to create a podcast, which I edited entirely on my own. While I had prior experience editing video and photos, this was my first time working with audio editing, and I developed new skills using Adobe Audition.

As part of my internship, we worked on an advertising project in collaboration with a marketing coordinator, brainstorming ways to effectively promote Transport Services, a trucking company looking to recruit new employees. My idea was to position their advertisement before a mock draft segment, drawing a parallel between the Browns scouting for valuable additions to their team and Transport Services searching for top talent to join their company. This approach seamlessly tied the brand’s messaging into relevant sports content, making it more engaging for listeners. Below is a screenshot of the advertisement I wrote for the campaign.
